SALUTE TO ARMED FORCES NIGHT | |
 SEATTLE - Rear Adm. John P. Currier, Commander 13th Coast Guard District, is recognized at Safeco Field during the Salute to Armed Forces Night. The pre-game recognition honored active duty, auxiliary and veteran military achievers from all five services on April 1, 2008. (U.S. Coast Guard photo by Petty Officer Eric J. Chandler)  SEATTLE - Coast Guard members present the American Flag during the National Anthem for the Mariners Salute to Armed Forces Night Tuesday. It took forty Coast Guardsmen to hold the flag at center field for the presentation. Each service member who participated in the pre-game on-field festivities received a complimentary ticket to watch the game. The Mariner's played the Texas Rangers and held a pre-game show honoring the United States Armed Forces, service veterans & support organizations.
