CUTTER STEADFAST RETURNS AFTER SUCCESSFUL PATROL

SEATTLE - The Coast Guard Cutter Steadfast and its crew return to Astoria, Ore., today after a successful patrol in Costa Rican waters.

Where: The 17th St. Pier near the Maritime Museum in Astoria.

When: Approximately 5 p.m.

The Steadfast, along with with Costa Rican authorities, seized in excess of 5000 pounds of illegal narcotics including cocaine and marijuana while on patrol in early December.

Media may contact Ensign Claire Mielke at the pier when the cutter arrives to arrange for interviews.
